RUSSIAN-BA - Russian

The major in Russian offers students an opportunity to facilitate the acquisition and improvement of Russian language skills in all areas of competency: speaking, reading, writing and aural comprehension, including an understanding of the structure and history of the Russian language. The major allows students to develop an appreciation of the highest attainments of Russian culture, particularly Russian literature. The work in the major encourages independent learning and critical thinking and helps students to develop strategies and techniques that will enable them to become lifelong learners.
