Description
3cr honors level course that evaluates the impact of Biological Science between the individual and society. Current advances in science like vaccine development have impacted society and eradicated some epidemics (like smallpox or polio). In this course, we will look at historical and current experiments and methods of vaccine development while investigating its impact on society. This includes using primary sources and media to examine the ethics of vaccine use and delivery in various communities. You will be expected to investigate a different scientific discovery and provide a written or oral presentation that discusses multiple points of view that evaluates the impact of science through: scientific, ethical, economic, political, communal, and/or individual views of discovery.
