Introduction to Urban Education: Topics and Issues around Diversity and Equity
Catalog Description
This course provides an introduction to urban education, specifically focusing on both current pedagogical approaches and the various historical, socioeconomic, sociocultural, and political factors that influence schools, with an eye to equity and justice as means to closing the achievement gap for marginalized populations of students. Students cannot receive a grade of P/NC in this course.
