Digital Earth

Description

Introduction to modern geospatial technology and scientific visualization tools to study geographic maps of our society and environment and digital images of our changing planet. Students will be exposed to modern spatial technology tools including remote sensing, Geographic Information System (GIS) and Global Positioning System (GPS) and explore the world in 3D anywhere using virtual global browsers such as Google Earth, World Wind. Over the course, students will enjoy fun journeys into space to visit various components of our earth system and our environment and how they change.
