Methods 2: Teaching Diverse Learners in Mathematics, Grades 7-12

Catalog Description

Familiarizes prospective middle and high school teachers, grades 7 – 12, with pedagogical approaches, innovative teaching techniques, and strategies for assessment needed to convey to a diverse population current state and professional standards-based curriculum in mathematics. Innovative uses of technology, development of instructional units, individualizing for students with special needs and strategies for managing problem behavior will be emphasized throughout the courses. Throughout this the student’s fieldwork will be integrated into all sessions, activities, writing and reflections.
