Catalog Description
Dance Methods 1 explores and examines the role of the dance educator’s individual voice in the discovery, planning, development and implementation of methods and materials for teaching students in Pre-K-12 school, community or studio contexts. Students examine pedagogical theories and practices and conduct action research in order to identify challenges and explore solutions towards success in dance education contexts. Through exploration, discussion, sharing, observation, analysis, journaling, research and technology, participants will be challenged to develop and share effective pedagogy and teaching artistry.
