The change to the Undergraduate Spatial Data Science (SDS) Certificate has three components. First is to allow students to share GTECH (Geography Technology) course credits between Undergraduate SDS Certificate and Geography and Environmental Studies majors. Second is to make equivalent or more advanced MATH and STAT courses substitute for the two required MATH 10100 and STAT 11300 courses. For students who transferred to Hunter College, these two courses could be substituted with equivalent courses at previous institutions. Third is to update the list of electives to reflect the availability and relevance to the certificate program. Specifically, GTECH 20300 is not offered anymore. GTECH 38518 Environmental Data Science has significant overlap with the required GTECH 33100 Spatial Data Science 1. Both are removed in the list.
