Description
This course will examine family and community patterns as they relate to individual clients of all ages. Principles of service- learning are used in community-based clinical experiences to promote civic engagement. This course will also examine and analyze health promotion strategies emphasizing maintenance and restoration of wellness. Assessment skills for family and community patterns of wellness will be explored. The scientific basis and the role of the community health nurse in delivering care to the community, to populations within the community, to families and to individuals in a variety of settings will be introduced.
