Readmission

Apply for Readmission if you previously took courses at Hunter as a degree student, non-degree or senior citizen auditor and have not been in attendance for one or more semesters. If you are readmitted as a degree-seeking student make an appointment with your advisor to discuss your academic plan.

Hunter College will continue to accept and review completed Admission Applications after the priority deadline on a space-availability basis. A completed application includes your online Admission Application and all supporting documentation.

You will be notified of your admission decision via email. Decisions typically begin to go out 4 weeks after the priority deadline.

If your Hunter GPA fell below 2.0 you must submit your Readmission Application by the application deadline. Late applications will not be considered.

Eligibility

In general, students that left Hunter in good academic standing (2.0 GPA and above) will be approved for readmission. Students who do not meet this criteria will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Please review additional requirements below for your specific situation.

Previously Attended Hunter as an Undergraduate Degree Student

Previously Attended Hunter as a Student Enrolled in the SEEK Program

Previously Attended Hunter as an Undergraduate Non-Degree Student

Previously Attended Hunter as a Senior Citizen Auditor

Supporting Documents

Once you have applied for readmission, request that your official college/university/post-secondary school transcripts from all schools attended since leaving Hunter College are sent to documents@hunter.cuny.edu.

Tuition and Fees

Application Fee
A one-time application fee of $20.00 will be added to your tuition bill after you have been admitted and completed your registration. You are not required to pay the application fee upfront.

Tuition
Tuition and fees are based on several factors including your residency status, whether you were readmitted as a non-degree or degree-seeking student, program, etc. Please review Tuition and Fees for more information.
