Description

An intense 3 credit project-based introduction to computer science for digital arts, aimed at motivated and hard-working studio art and film & media students. Prior programming or CS background is not required. Key computer science and programming concepts will be taught through hands-on studio work with interactive visuals "sketches" in P5JS (Processing for JavaScript), as well as lecture. Subsequently, essential C++ will be introduced in a Linux environment. This experimental minor elective course can become an entry to a CS minor, or, with a MATH125 co-requisite, to a CS major.
