This course provides an overview of children with exceptional cognitive, physical, social, and/or emotional characteristics, including learning disabilities. Students will also gain knowledge and skills on working with children who are emerging language learners (ELLs). Assessment and screening strategies will be discussed to meet the educational needs of all students.
