Intermediate Arabic for Heritage Speakers

Catalog Description

This course is a continuation of ARB 148. It is also for Heritage Students who can already read and write formal Arabic at the high beginner or low intermediate level and who speak one of the dialects with some degree of fluency but have not studied enough formal Arabic to be exempt from the language requirement. Successful completion of this course will fulfill the Hunter College Language requirement. More than ARB 148, this course will rely on authentic materials not found in any text book The course is not open to students who have taken the ARB 101-302 sequence.
