An introduction to applied statistics and statistical computing. Hands-on data analysis. Graphical inference. The five number summary, box plots, scatterplots, normal probability plots. Elementary probability. Statistical estimation and hypothesis testing. Linear regression. Students are expected to analyze real data sets and write reports.
